This tour exceeded our expectations and was one of the highlights of our trip to Albania! We had a great time making traditional Albanian food in a stunning setting overlooking the rolling countryside hills. While some of our food cooked away, we were taken through some local farmland where we picked fresh fruit and vegetables. Ardit, our guide, was very knowledgeable and passionate about the area and his wines. It was such a treat to have some of his family's locally made wine to accompany lunch. Cooking with Ardit (our guide) and his mum in the Berat countryside was a once in a lifetime experience. It felt more like eating lunch with an old friend than a commercialized tour.

We had an amazing cooking class with Ardit and his family! Beautiful setting and beautiful village! We made three main dishes and got to taste additional Albanian food before getting to see the property/vineyard. We’ve done many cooking classes and looked at several in Berat, Ardit and his mother went above and beyond. Would highly recommend any friend to visit. We can’t wait to go back and stay in their guest house, the whole area around the restaurant and Alpeta are amazing. Real farm to table food.

Do not book the cooking class here. We confirmed a cooking class for 2 people at 10am on a Sunday @ €50 per person with transport included. We were told that we were going to picked up from our hotel at 9.30am. We got up early and waited and waited and waited… we had two numbers and we were ringing and ringing and sending messages and heard nothing back from either numbers. They were last seen online on WhatsApp at 1.35am… go figure. Our day was almost ruined but luckily we managed to book a last minute cooking class with a much better company. We finally heard from one of them hours after our initial pick up time and they said they had car trouble and they had no signal. Very unbelievable that they would have no signal all morning - especially as we have been travelling Albania for a while now and have not struggled with signal on the road. They are time wasters.

I recently took the cooking class in Roshnik, and it was an unforgettable experience! Our guide, Ardit, was outstanding; his passion for Albanian cuisine and local ingredients truly shone through.
He guided us through each step with enthusiasm and deep knowledge, making sure everyone felt involved and engaged. We learned not only how to make traditional dishes but also about the local wine. I highly recommend this class for anyone wanting an authentic taste of Albanian culture!
